BARTHMAN / PARSONS COLUMBUS DOSD PROJECT

Korda is providing planning and design services as a subconsultant to another firm for this City of Columbus Blueprint project. The goal of the project is to evaluate and develop integrated solutions to benefit two neighborhoods, Southern Orchards and Reeb Hosack within the Barthman Parsons area. The use of green infrastructure to reduce stormwater runoff and CSO/SSO overflows will be evaluated. In addition, project objectives also include repurposing vacant and tax delinquent land bank parcels as the green infrastructure sites, providing community amenities such as open space and recreation, and providing bioretention systems that are designed to meet the typical year storm event. This project will also provide a blueprint for addressing vacant properties and incorporating the available land into the integrated solution approach.
