CAMP CHASE RAIL TRAIL

This project involves the design of a Shared Use Path along the Camp Chase Railway in southwest Columbus. It begins at Georgesville Road and proceeds northeast approximately 2.9 miles to N. Eureka Avenue. The path will generally be constructed within the Camp Chase Railway right-of-way and includes realigning the tracks on the existing Broad Street viaduct to accommodate the trail and two prefabricated steel truss bridges over two streams. Community input and involvement is also a large part of the project as the trail will provide connections to Hilltop YMCA, Westmoor Park, Westmoor Middle School, and Valleyview Elementary School.

  • 2.9 mile Shared Use Path
  • Realigned the tracks on the existing Broad Street viaduct
  • Extensive Community input and involvement
  • Two 70′ prefabricated steel truss bridges
