COLUMBUS METROPOLITAN LIBRARY – DRIVING PARK BRANCH

Korda designed the MEP, structural, and technology engineering systems for this replacement branch for the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Located on the southeast side of Columbus, this branch serves as the portal to the internet for many of the local citizens. With this in mind, Korda designed a robust wireless internet connection system, and we designed several components such as smart boards and laptops to fully enable the library’s customers to access the internet. Many energy efficient measures were also incorporated to allow the facility to be stewards to the environment. Among these features are low-flow plumbing fixtures, and the use of a variable refrigerant volume HVAC system that transfers heat between areas requiring cooling, and those requiring heating.
