EASTON AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER

This 2-story ambulatory surgery center was designed and built for Orthopedic One. The first floor contains 5 operating rooms (ORs), exam, and support space, and the majority of the second floor is shelled to accommodate future expansion.

Korda Engineering designed a full sprinkler system for the facility, as well as fully piped medical air, oxygen, nitrogen, vacuum, and compressed air systems to support the ORs. Two packaged rooftop units with VFDs serve the majority of the building, but a dedicated air-handling unit with MERV 14 final filters serves the OR suite. LED lighting serves the building, and a 500 kW diesel, emergency generator with a day tank provides emergency power support for the facility. Korda also designed a nurse call system, security and access card system, as well as voice/data, and wireless area network (WAN) system.
