JSU STUDENT RECREATION CENTER

This Student Recreation Center building serves as the main location for Jacksonville State University’s student athletic services. The 101,000 square-foot facility includes recreational gymnasiums, a weight and fitness area, a wellness center, an elevated walking track, racquetball courts, a small leisure pool and whirlpool, a 40-foot indoor climbing wall, group exercise studios, and locker rooms. It also features a lounge area where students can gather between classes. The building is located next to Kennamar Hall, on the southeast corner of campus, next to Pelham Road. Korda provided professional structural engineering services for this $25,000,000 facility.
