MIA-CR33-1.81 (3.23) – ELDEAN ROAD RAILROAD BRIDGE

Design of 1500 feet of road widening from two to three lanes to accommodate planned development on this commercial corridor north of the City of Troy. The project involves lowering existing road profile and raising existing railroad bridge to improve the existing substandard clearance (9’-8”) to acceptable clearance (14’-0”). Involves extensive coordination and permitting with CSX Railroad which serves an active granery and mill operation directly to the north of Eldean Road. Project is further complicated by backwater considerations of the Great Miami River immediately to the east and a high water table attributable to abandoned gravel quarries immediately adjacent at the northwest quadrant.<br>
