MORRIS HOSPITAL SURGERY RENOVATION

This surgery renovation, within Morris Hospital, is approximately 19,000 square feet and includes three (3) new operating rooms, associated clean core/support/circulation, central sterile, locker rooms, eight (8) prep/recovery beds, as well as converting the existing ORs into new bronchoscopy and endoscopy rooms. Korda assisted the Infrastructure team in designing a new air handling unit to serve the ORs and the Central Sterile. The unit is located in a new penthouse, and all major serviceable equipment, such as terminal boxes, are located in the penthouse to minimize service personnel entering the restricted sterile areas. Korda also designed new branch panel boards for the electrical distribution.
