This addition to and renovation of a 180,000 SF food research facility includes laboratories, pilot plants, administration space, cafeteria and some production areas. The pilot labs include coffee, tea, chocolate, other confections and ice cream (meeting USDA requirements). The project included HVAC system replacement of VAV systems, fume hoods and provided steam to hot water converters for heating. Also, the project included over 900 tons of ammonia refrigeration.
