OHIO UNIVERSITY MULTIPURPOSE FACILITY

Ohio University needed to develop a facility close to Peden Stadium that would allow several athletic teams to practice throughout the year. Korda was selected as part of the Criteria Architect’s team to develop the structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering systems criteria for this facility. Located on the banks of the Hocking River, the base structure for this pre-engineered facility was designed to withstand the potential flooding that occurs periodically in this flood plain. The facility consists of one large, open space to accommodate field sports such as football. This project also relocated one of the existing outdoor fields to accommodate the new building. Utilities such as electricity, water, and sanitary were extended to serve the facility.

  • Practice building for college athletes with one large, open space area
  • Pre-engineered facility
  • Relocated existing outdoor fields
