PERRY WEBB STUDENT LIFE BUILDING, THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY LIMA CAMPUS

Designed to form the core of the student life experience for a largely commuter-student population, this project is a 15,000 square-foot Student Life Building at The Ohio State University’s regional campus in Lima, Ohio. The program includes a recreation space, student soft space, a grab-and-go café, and locker rooms with restrooms. The new building has fire protection, fire alarm, and security systems. The building site location includes an access road and surface parking lot for a minimum of 36 cars, irrigation, landscape, and planting. The project was required to tie into an existing domestic water line, and new sanitary lines, storm sewer lines, and gas lines. Korda provided mechanical, electrical and structural engineering services for this $5.2 million facility, giving students a place to study, eat, relax, and work collaboratively when they are not in class.
