New Mclean Mill Road Bridge
It was great to be on site for the placement of the center-span beams for the new Mclean Mill Road Bridge (TR127) in Pickaway County. These 147-foot long, 72” deep precast concrete I-beams weigh over 178,000 pounds each! The project removes all permanent impacts to Big Darby Creek, a State and National Scenic River, restoring this section to a natural condition. The 1850 LF of roadway realignment with a curved bridge improves safety. We’re excited to see the re-opening of this bridge, which replaces a historic truss constructed in 1912 that will be repurposed for a local trail project.
