Brixham Road Area Waterline Improvement

Brixham Road is curbed with asphalt pavement in good condition (repaved in approximately 2015). There are large stately trees scattered throughout the yards on both sides of Brixham, but no sidewalks. Overhead street lighting is on the west side. The existing 6” waterline and fire hydrants are located east of the east curb. Beginning north at the intersection with Eakin Road, install the waterline in the northbound or southbound travel lane. The large trees are offset adequately east and west of the curb line to permit waterline installation. One lane, two-way traffic can be maintained within the construction zone during the majority of construction activities, otherwise access to residents is maintained from either end of road. Sanitary sewer service is at the rear of the lots. The lack of existing storm and sanitary sewers running parallel within Brixham will allow a flexible alignment that minimizes utility disturbance, reduces pavement impact, traffic disruption, and inconvenience to property owners.
