Broadway Reconstruction

Broadway Street was reconstructed from Park Ave (US40) to Bechtle Avenue, approximately 4300 LF, in the City of Springfield. Reconstruction included replacement of curb and gutter and drive approaches. Project analyzed suitable approaches to reconstruct the pavement by re-using the existing concrete base to save costs compared to complete reconstruction. Drainage study identified deficiencies in the system and storm sewer improvements. Project involved 9 intersections with new curb ramps and part-width construction to maintain traffic to residents and an elementary school.
