Buckeye Lake Dam Replacement

Korda performed surveying services for this Ohio Department of Natural Resource project. The goal of the project consisted of three parts:  Perform a 4.5-mile boundary survey of the division line between the State of Ohio and over 450 private land owners along the lake, prepare a multi-page plat document of the boundary line and prepare nearly 100 encroachment survey report documents of all parcels that have personal property located on State of Ohio lands.

Korda’s survey group provided extensive research and coordination of existing documents. A comprehensive control network was established using precision GPS and Robotic Total Stations. The control network was referenced to the Ohio State Plane Coordinate System, allowing future control points to be set or re-established easily. Under the direction of one of our professional surveyors, crews were dispatched to the field to recover and locate available monumentation. Monumentation was evaluated by one of our professional surveyors, and a boundary resolution of the 4.5-mile line was determined according to 4733-37 of the Ohio Administrative Code. Following the boundary line survey, a multi-page plat was created to document the boundary line and was recorded in both Fairfield County and Licking County Recorder’s Office for perpetuity. Finally, nearly 100 individual encroachment survey reports were prepared to document where private land owners have personal property encroaching into the State of Ohio lands.

  • Over 450 private home surveys
  • Performed over 100 encroachment surveys
  • 4.5 mile boundary survey
