Confluence Village Public Infrastructure

Korda was an integral Consultant Team member to design the public streetscape and utility infrastructure at the Confluence Village development in support of the new Columbus Crew Stadium which opened in 2021. As part of the  Team, Korda utilized lessons learned from our recent Short North Streetscape project to design the undergrounding of overhead utilities, private utility relocation, site electric, and advise in the arrangement of public and private utilities within the new roadway corridors. The project included construction of four new roadways north of Nationwide Boulevard between the Olentangy River and Hocking Street to support the new stadium and adjacent development. The design consisted of new pavement, concrete curbs, brick sidewalks, street trees, water main, storm sewer, underground electric distribution, street lighting, sanitary sewer, multi-user private utility duct bank, and irrigation system. In order to meet project milestones and remain on schedule, Korda participated in weekly meetings with the City stakeholders to ensure project success.

  • Increased pedestrian and bicycle safety and mobility
  • Provided four new roadways
