HAN-75-14.39 – Harrison Street over I-75

The overall project consists of approximately 5.12 miles of interstate reconstruction on I-75 converting the roadway from 4 lanes to 6 lanes and reconfiguring the interchange of I-75 with US 68/SR 15. The project also includes reconstruction of approximately 0.9 mile of US 68/SR 15 in approach of the interchange with I-75. Additional work includes realignment of Lima Avenue under US 68/SR 15 and construction of a teardrop roundabout interchange to replace the existing Lima Avenue interchange with US 68/SR 15. The Harrison Street overpass will be reconstructed and the ramps at the SR 12 and US 224 interchanges will be realigned to tie into the reconstructed I-75 6-lane section. The project includes lighting, 10 bridge structures, retaining walls, and noise walls.

  • Abutments are stub capped pile type
  • Bridge is 28 feet wide toe of parapet to toe of 6 foot sidewalk
