Korda prepared a study that resulted in the recommendation of a single-lane modern roundabout at the intersection of SR29 and SR38 as a safety improvement to reduce the high rate of severe angle crashes at the skewed, unsignalized intersection. Korda performed the survey, roadway and bridge design, right of way plans, highway lighting, utility relocations, and managed the geotechnical tasks. The work included 1200 L.F. of improvements along both SR29 and SR38. The project lengthened an existing 20’ box culvert and replaced an existing culvert with a new 20’ box culvert. Project includes stormwater, BMP, and riparian zone impact mitigation for Chenoweth Ditch being within the Big Darby Creek watershed.
