McCoy Road/Street and Waterline Improvement Phase 1 & 2

Korda provided surveying, preliminary engineering, and final construction design for this project which included full width pavement rehabilitation and the construction of approximately 7,000 LF of 8” to 12” diameter new water distribution system to replace aging mains. Additionally, the project included construction of curb bump-outs to reduce pedestrian crossings on McCoy Road, and replacement of existing narrow sidewalk with 8’ wide shared use path adjacent to Thompson Park. Detailed grading and stormwater design was required where bump outs disrupted the existing pavement drainage path. Phase 2 included 5800 LF from Riverside Drive to Woodbridge Road. This project was heavily focused on pedestrian safety improvements including high visibility crosswalks, curb bumpouts to shorten crosswalks, signage and other enhancements to aid in pedestrian crossings.

  • Topographic, utility, and right-of-way survey
  • 7,000 LF of 8″ to 12″ diameter new water distribution system
