OhioHealth Grant Hospital Expansion
This phased project will transform the existing Grant Medical Center campus. The first phase involves the demolition of the Blue and the MOB. These will be replaced with a new, 40,000 square foot MOB housing medical offices and an outpatient center. A new parking garage will be built adjacent to this MOB. Construction started on the MOB in 2023. The second phase of the project will construct a new Critical Care Pavilion (CCP) that is approximately 280,000 square feet. This facility will include a new, Level 1 Trauma Center, approximately 155 ICU/PCU/Med Surg beds, and an underground parking garage. The project will increase the hospital’s bed size from just over 400 beds to approximately 450 beds. Construction on the CCP is anticipated to start in 2025 and run through 2028. To support this renovation and expansion, Korda designed new emergency generator systems and heating hot water boiler systems. These systems will be integrated with the existing systems in the Surgical Heart Center to augment their capacity and produce system redundancies.
