Southern Theater Renovation

Korda/Nemeth performed engineering design services for the historic restoration of this 1896 building that features a 900-seat auditorium, dressing rooms, circulation areas, and other public spaces. New additions included orchestra pit lift, new elevators, stage lighting/dimming, acoustics, emergency power systems, fire protection, fire suppression, life safety systems, integration of state-of-the-art technical systems, support facilities for performers and technicians, and new building systems throughout the facility. Audience and stage floors were also replaced, existing galleries and fly galleries were reinforced, and some new galleries were added.
