Westminster College – Hoyt Science Addition

The project is the addition of approximately 24, 000 gross square feet of laboratory space over 3 levels at the existing Hoyt Science Building at Westminster College.  The laboratory includes chemical fume hoods connected to strobic fans on the new roof.  Our team also provided utilities such as water and natural gas to these fume hoods.  The addition required an upgrade to the existing heating plant and chiller water system.  These existing mechanical spaces are buried deep within the existing building, which required extensive coordination with the existing utilities both to locate the new equipment and to determine an appropriate pathway into the spaces.
