As an interdisciplinary firm that encompasses all aspects of building engineering, we believe that sustainability is among the most important design considerations and that all disciplines must work together to achieve maximum results. We accomplish this by incorporating sustainable design concepts into all the buildings we design and by staying current with all developments in this broad field.

LEED is the methodology most used to target and evaluate the sustainable design features for most of our projects. As a measurement tool, it is very effective in challenging both the design team and owners to consider more and different sustainable features. As our list of LEED Certified projects in a variety of categories continues to grow, Korda utilizes the lessons learned for each new sustainable project.
•60% of our design staff are LEED Accredited Professionals
•We have designed over 20 LEED projects
•Fourteen projects have obtained Silver or Gold ratings. Among them are: A Gold rated higher educational classroom building, a Silver rated in-patient healthcare project, a Gold rated healthcare central energy plant, a Silver rated medical education center, a Gold rated fire station, a Gold rated warehouse / distribution facility, a Gold rated higher education student center, a Silver rated commercial interiors project, a Silver rated historic office renovation, a Silver rated performing arts center project, and a Gold rated hospice project.
