1970 - Korda’s first high profile, cutting-edge project: The Ohio Historical Society.

This project was the first significant post-tensioned cantilever structure in Ohio at the time (and likely beyond). Everyone at the State of Ohio was concerned the structure would collapse when the shoring was removed. Peter assured everyone the engineering was sound and agreed to stand under the cantilever as the shoring was removed to make an engineering point. He later revealed if the structure had failed, he didn’t want to live to face everyone.
