Korda wins Ohio Stormwater Award two years in a row

For the second year in a row, Korda/Nemeth Engineering received the  2026 Project Excellence Award from the Ohio Stormwater Association for our work  at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds –Project 2050 Improvements.  As a part of Governor DeWine’s Visionary 2050 Master plan, this transformative project brings the 250‑acre campus into full alignment with contemporary stormwater management standards, including compliance with the most recent edition of the City of Columbus Stormwater Manual. A notable achievement of the project was the complete separation of the campus’s remaining combined sewer connections, some of which had operated for more than a century. By rerouting the storm sewer system, Korda reduced the load on Columbus’s Waste Water Treatment system, ultimately reducing Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) in the system.
